Lately, I've been listening to a lot of recruitment podcasts. They’re the perfect alternative to industry events or conferences, and also great for getting your daily dose of inspiration and fresh ideas.

Plus, you can tune in while you're commuting to work or taking a walk - it’s a win-win.

I've been curating a list of the ones that have stood out to me. Some of these podcasts are from known names in the industry, others from up-and-comers with interesting perspectives.

Here's a rundown of what I've been listening to lately.

1) Futurize This. A work odyssey

Futurize This is Carv’s weekly recruitment podcast and as the title implies, it focuses on the future of recruitment.

Hosted by co-founders Barend Raaff and Matthijs Metzemaekers, Futurize This dives into the evolving landscape of talent acquisition, looking at the impact of technology and AI on the hiring process and the parties involved - recruiters, hiring managers or agency owners, and candidates.

The podcast’s format is short weekly episodes during which the hosts explore the different stages of the recruitment process and the way these are being reshaped by technology. Given that the audience is mixed, they cover everything from practical tips to bigger picture trends.

Some of the top episodes on Futurize This cover the role of the recruiter in the AI age, the impact of AI on recruiter productivity, and the impact of artificial intelligence on candidate sourcing.

These episodes are meant to guide recruitment business owners and talent acquisition professionals in their journey of adopting AI in the recruitment process.

A recruitment professional with over 15 years’ experience, Hung Lee has worked as an agency recruiter, recruitment manager, internal head of talent, among other recruitment roles, so he knows the ins and outs of the industry.

He is also the founder of the award-winning online recruitment platform WorkShape, and the editor and community builder at Recruiting Brainfood, a weekly recruitment newsletter.

Through his weekly Recruiting Brainfood podcast, Lee tackles a variety of topics, from how to ethically implement AI into talent acquisition to public speaking tips for newbies to skill-based hiring.
